Liz Zeno, RN, School Nurse

Hello! I have been the school nurse at Pillsbury since 2005. I have worked with children for my whole 24-year nursing career. I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Emory University and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas. I am a Nationally Certified School Nurse with licenses as a public health nurse, registered nurse (RN) and school nurse (LSN).

I believe that wellness involves the whole child in the context of his/her family and community. I love seeing children living their day to day lives doing their important work of learning. My job is to minimize the effect of their illnesses and injuries on their ability to learn by caring for them, planning for their special health needs, and communicating with families, staff and providers about their health at school.

I work closely with licensed practical nurse

(LPN) Kim Smith. Kim is in the health office every day and she does much of the day-to-day care of students and works with attendance. If you would like to contact either of us, please feel free to call us at Pillsbury at 612-668-1538. You can also send me an email here

In addition to the information on this site, you can find a lot of helpful information on the district Nursing Services website. Look for the link to Health Services Information and Forms to find information about medications at school, when your child is too ill to come to school, etc.

I look forward to working with you to help keep all our children healthy and ready to learn!
